The verses of Brahma-samhita were written by Lord Brahma who is celebrated as the creator of the universe and is the origin of the Brahma sampradaya lineage. Vedic knowledge was imparted into the heart of Brahma, the first created living being, and Brahma in his turn disseminated this knowledge to his sons and disciples, as he originally received it from the Lord.

The manuscript of the Brahma-samhita was discovered five centuries ago in a South Indian temple and translated into English by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Maharaj, the foremost scholar and devotee in the recent age.
